Storage architecture
Built to keep running.
COR.stor is not designed to be pushed to its limit, but for long-term availability.
02 Redundancy
One pack fails. Your supply does not.
Five battery packs work in parallel, each with its own battery management and its own protection. If one fails, the others keep working.
The storage unit then keeps supplying your building from the remaining packs. No standstill because one pack drops out.
- 5 battery packs in parallel
- battery management per pack

03 Reserve
Do not use it all up today.
80 kWh of cell capacity are installed, 70 kWh are usable at any time. The additional 10 kWh are not released in operation.
A LiFePO4 battery lasts longest when it is never fully charged and never fully drained. That is easy on the cells and provides a reserve against their natural ageing. So the 10 kWh are not a loss, but deliberate design.
- 80 kWh installed
- 70 kWh usable
5 + 5years of warranty on the battery
The COR.stor battery comes with 5 + 5 years of warranty. Because 80 kWh are installed and 70 kWh released, the reserve absorbs the natural ageing: your 70 usable kWh remain over the full ten years.
You will get the exact warranty terms in your initial consultation.
Warranty: the 5 + 5 years on the battery are a promotional offer, valid until further notice. For units ordered before the offer is withdrawn, the promised warranty period applies.
You set the minimum state of charge yourself.
The minimum state of charge is separate from this reserve. It determines how much of the 70 usable kWh stays in the storage unit as a backup supply — and it is adjustable.
04 Cell chemistry
LiFePO4 for long-term stability.
COR.stor uses lithium iron phosphate cells (LiFePO4) — a thermally stable cell chemistry that is also used in stationary grid storage.
Cooling is passive: no fans and no liquid circuit. That means there is no cooling system in the storage unit that needs servicing.
- LiFePO₄
- passively cooled, no fans
- safety extra-low voltage per pack
Extra-low voltage instead of high voltage.
Each battery pack runs at safety extra-low voltage (SELV) instead of high voltage. That reduces risk in the event of a fault and simplifies installation. Packs can also be added later: even packs fitted later deliver full output, with no system replacement.
05 Availability
Grid down. Power on.
If the grid fails, COR.stor typically takes over within 20 milliseconds. The system is island- and black-start capable.
It supplies the whole building within 15 or 30 kVA, not a single backup socket. What happens in island mode and how long the storage unit lasts is covered on a page of its own.
- typically 20 ms switchover
- 15 or 30 kVA
- island- and black-start capable
